Book Worm Extraordinaire
Server of Snark // Collector of Books // Rocker of Glasses
Hailing from the steppes of Othard Ehri has long since made Eorzea her home. Currently she calls the city of Limsa Lominsa home and enjoys the influx of new faces each ship brings to port.
Her love for books led to her employment in the Arcanist's Guild but these days she plies her knowledge of facts and figures as an accountant for the right amount of coin. If that amount of coin is right enough she is incredibly good at making numbers dance and disappear.
Although she can often be found with tea and good book she works hard so she can play hard. Its not unusual to see her at a tavern or social gathering (sometimes even behind the bar) but it is quite unusual to see her sitting alone. Even though she is often disappointed with the outcome she is always eager to meet a new face.
Despite her enthusiasm for new friends doesn't suffer much for those she considers "fools" and though she is loathe to admit it her borderline narcissism is her biggest flaw. Although she tempers it when she's "on the clock" she has a distinct affinity snark. That said, if you prove you can keep up with her quips and don't get turned off by snark she can be extremely loyal.
This duality of being slow to respect but quick to engage (plus her Bayaqud upbringing) often means she is never one to turn down a drink or sleepover so long as the absence of strings is understood or you are an extremely rare specimen.

History
Born on the steppes of Othard to the Bayaqud tribe Ehri spent much of her formative years feeling like a bit of an outcast. Her family and tribe were supportive and kind but she never felt much affinity to the warring and sparsity of the life. Furthermore, as is tradition in the Bayaqud tribe it was understood that she would most likely take on several husbands but the rash and aggressive men of the steppe simply did not interest her.On a fateful trip to Reunion she came across a book from beyond the borders with stories and tales from Eorzea. Enamored with the book and the land they described she made up her mind to venture across the seas to see it for herself. It was several years before she finally found the opportunity but when fortune seekers hired a member of her tribe to escort them across the steppe she was able to convince the men to let her return to Eorzea them when they had finished.Upon landing in Limsa Lominsa she was in for a bit of culture shock but her conviction stayed strong and she sought out more books like the one that had set her on this path. As she asked around for both work and books she was eventually ushered towards the Arcanist's Guild where she got a menial job keeping the guild's books dusted and in order. A handful of years later and many nights studying by candlelight she worked her way to a full fledged member.Eventually she branched out from the job and began to do accounting work for companies both legitimate and...not as legitimate. To sate her desire to meet new people and hear tales she often picked up shifts at taverns as well.
